Abstract: A clinical trial is enrolling HIV patients who are newly diagnosed with cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in pill form. The study will compare intravenous ganciclovir (Cyotvene) to ganciclovir prodrug, a chemically altered version of the original drug. Patients must be newly diagnosed and have no previous CMV treatment. Trial sites and a contact telephone number are provided.
