Abstract: The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is considering no longer allowing cattle to graze in watershed areas. Since 40-60 percent of cattle in the area are infected with cryptosporidia, they are considered a source of the disease when their feces, containing the parasite, runs off into the water supply. A vote will take place on this issue on May 12.
