Abstract: (Producer) The most recent advancements in the research and treatment of AIDS/HIV and opportunistic infections are the subject of this program. Featuring four respected medical professionals in AIDS research, the program clarifies the common misconceptions about HIV/AIDS of the general public as well as the medical community. Featured in the program are Dr. Michael Saag and Dr. George Shaw of the Univ. of Alabama Center for AIDS Research; Dr. Paul Volberding, director of the Center for AIDS Research at the University of California, San Francisco; and Dr. Yvonne Bryson, director of the Los Angeles Pediatric AIDS consorotium.
