Abstract: Marrion Merrell Dow can now market Rifater, a combination of three drugs already approved to treat tuberculosis (TB), according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Rifater, which consists of rifampin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, was developed to assist patients in complying with their dosage schedules. Patients will take rifater for two months; therapy with rifampin and isoniazid is continued for an additional four months.
