Abstract: (Producer) Celebrating the healing power of laughter, hope, and positive thinking, this program documents a three-day comedy workshop for People with AIDS (PWA's). Nine men who had never set foot on stage before learn the tricks of the trade from professional comics and present their act in a sold-out show. For the PWA's, it was an opportunity to show the world, as participant Randy Smith says, that we're not just dying bodies, that we have a heart and a concern for humanity, that we're still fun. The film is a reminder that being diagnosed with an illness need not prevent anyone from experiencing the joy and laughter in life.
