Abstract: A novel method based on dose-response curve of antibodies and employing a hyperbolic function for its description was used for the assessment of the affinity and concentration of anti-HIV antibodies in eighteen anti-HIV positive males. The patients were followed up for a period of 8 months to 5 years and affinity and concentration of antibodies were measured at least twice, at the beginning and at the end of the observation period. No correlation between antibodies affinity and the clinical stage of infection was observed, however, concentration of antibodies decreased rapidly in AIDS.
