Abstract: (Producer) The dental professional is guided through a series of decision-making situtations related to managing and coping with AIDS. Case I focuses on the recognition of oral lesions seen in HIV infected individuals and the management of a patient who has undiagnosed AIDS. Case II places the dental professional in the role of chair of the AIDS policy committee of the local school board and reviews issues regarding casual transmission of HIV. Case III focuses on clinical features, diagnosis, management, and treatment of the oral manifestations of HIV infection. Case IV focuses on the transmission of HIV in the health care setting and infection control procedures for the dental office.
