Abstract: (Producer) First responders to community emergencies - law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians, may be at risk for exposure to AIDS and other infectious diseases. This program uses lay terms to explain how bacterial and viral infections spread. It provides information about on the job precautions and describes equipment cleaning procedures that first responders should use to protect themselves and their contacts from AIDS; hepatitis; and other infectious diseases.
