Abstract: (Producer) After years of criticizing the Food and Drug Administration for its lengthy testing policies, AIDS activists decided to test the experimental Compound Q on themselves. Without FDA sanction or oversight, the activists set out to prove that drug trials could be conducted more quickly and efficiently than the FDA had ever allowed. The program also probes AIDS education and the federal budget in a segment on money and morals.
