Abstract: A panel consisting of an ethicist, a specialist in infectious diseases, and a lawyer discusses the ethical issues raised by the diagnosis of AIDS or a positive HIV test. Using concrete cases, the panel offers an orderly approach to highly sensitive and critical issues. Also provides some insights into the impact of hospital bylaws, personal morals, and the law.
