Abstract: (Producer) Here's a video that explicitly presents how AIDS is transmitted - stressing the behaviors that put people at risk. Experts present evidence that there is little or no risk of contagion through blood transfusions and casual contact. Medical experts explain the clinical nature of the virus and how it attacks the body. A sensitive firsthand portrait gives students insight into the fears and hopes of a homosexual AIDS patient, his friends and his family. The program also looks carefully at how medical institutions and hospital workers deal with AIDS patients...when a vaccine or cure is likely.
