Abstract: (Producer) The groups most at risk of contracting AIDS are homosexuals and intravenous drug users. But not to be most at risk does not mean to be at no risk. Today, every sexually active person faces some risk of getting AIDS-how much risk depends on geographic area and the types of sexual behavior. This program enables viewers to gauge their own probable risk levels by providing as a yardstick profiles of various segments of the heterosexual community. It also offers perspective by comparing an individual's chances of getting AIDS with the chances of dying from other risky behavior like smoking and frequent flying. Medical experts make it clear that, while the risk varies among individuals, anyone who is sexually active and not involved in a long-term monogamous relationship needs to protect him-or herself against the AIDS virus.
