Abstract: (Producer) Ideally the business who is ready to purchase this package will have already begun addressing AIDS concerns and is looking for direction with regard to some of the more difficult, subtle issues that arise after policies are in place and AIDS education is underway. These issues include reasonable accommodation, confidentiality, benefits, fitness for duty, legal issues, and grief and loss. This package is designed for use by human resource managers, employee, assistance professionals, benefits personnel, health services staff, union representatives, and anyone else who must manage AIDS in the workplace. Program includes a comprehensive management guide, a booklet on insurance benefits, and a brochure on grief and loss for co-workers affected by the death of another employee. These materials are the result of an ongoing effort involving a large number of corporations across the United States, their senior executives and SFAF. Over 25 corporate executives contributed their expertise to help us assess the present and future needs of American businesses in responding to the AIDS epidemic. Their lessons learned, their success, and their hands-on experience, provide the substance of these materials.
