Abstract: The First International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) Conference on Clinical Immunology held July 5-6, 1986, in Toronto, Canada, consisted of two plenary sessions (one on receptor-antireceptor mediated diseases, and the other on highlights in clinical immunology); nine concurrent minisymposia (receptor-antireceptor diseases, new trends in the management of autoimmune diseases, new trends in the investigation of autoimmune diseases, management of infection with HTLV:III/LAV virus, new developments in immunodiagnostic techniques, use of monoclonal antibodies in diagnosis and therapy, new trends in the management of immunodeficiency diseases, new trends in the management of allergic and hypersensitivity diseases, and new trends in managing lymphoproliferative disorders); and ten poster sessions. Minisymposia abstracts and poster abstracts are presented.
