Abstract: A variety of viruses as etiologic agents in naturally occurring tumors are discussed under the following headings: feline retroviruses; bovine leukemia virus: a new mode of leukemogenesis; simian acquired immunodeficiency syndrome; the natural history of bovine papillomavirus infections; Marek's disease virus in the chicken; Lucke frog carcinoma herpesvirus: transmission and expression during early development; human adult T-cell leukemia virus and its association with disease; hepatitis B virus and hepatocellular carcinoma: postulates for an etiological relationship; Epstein-Barr virus and human malignancies; and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and cancer. The book is intended for all research oncologists, as well as virologists, immunologists, and cellular and molecular biologists.
