Abstract: A thorough search was made of United States Federal Government publications in an effort to uncover government interest and action on homosexuality in the United States. No references were found prior to 1920 to government publications that refer to homosexuality. Since that time there has been sporadic interest in the subject, and from 1975 onwards it has been raised in Congress every year. There have been many hearings and reports that deal with the subject both directly and indirectly. Besides the bibliographic entries that follow, sources of information are listed and some annotation and discussion of the documents are included.
