Abstract: In an elderly woman, lymphoma involved the central nervous system and unusual nonlymphoreticular sites. Cerebrospinal fluid cell surface marker studies revealed a clone of malignant B cells. Studies of peripheral blood demonstrated a systemic disturbance of immune regulation similar to Epstein-Barr virus infections and the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
