Topics discussed include the physiology of hemostasis, investigations of patients with suspected congenital bleeding disorders, common congenital disorders of hemostasis, acquired disorders of hemostasis, thrombocytopenic purpura, neutropenia, leukemias, deficiencies of immune and neutrophil function, iron deficiency anemia, megaloblastic anemias, aplastic anemias, hemolytic anemias, thalassemias, thalassemia-like disorders and sickle cell disease, hemolytic disease of the newborn, solid tumors, lymphomas, Wilms' tumor, neuroblastoma, soft tissue sarcomas, bone tumors, primary central nervous system tumors, and miscellaneous tumors.
