Abstract: Kaposi's sarcoma has been diagnosed in increased frequency among the homosexual male population in New York City and San Francisco. The typical form of the disease affects the extremities and 70-90% of the affected patients are men. The new form which affects the head and the body as well as the arms has been found only in men. The clinical signs are disseminated papules and nodules with frequent ganglionic involvement. The disease has a rapid deterioration with 20% mortality before 2 yr.
