LONDON, November 29/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A host of Britain's best loved soap stars including Coronation Street's Anthony Cotton and Jennie McAlpine, Adele Silva, Emily Symons, Verity Rushworth, Hayley Tamaddon, Roxanne Pallet, Lucy Pargeter, Matthew Wolfenden, Nicola Wheeler, Charlie Hardwick and Mathew Bose from Emmerdale and a plethora of talent from Hollyoaks are expected to join M.A.C staff to support national HIV and sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust and the M.A.C AIDS Fund on World AIDS Day - 1 December 2007.
THT soap star supporters will be working their socks off at M.A.C counters in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool selling M.A.C Viva Glam Lipsticks and Lipglasses - the primary fund raising tool for the M.A.C AIDS Fund. 100% of sales of the Viva Glam products on the day will be donated to THT.
The stars will also be accepting a cheque for GBP60,000 on behalf of THT from the M.A.C AIDS Fund on the day. Terrence Higgins Trust is the UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity, providing a wide range of services to over 50,000 people a year. It was one of the first charities to be set up in response to the HIV epidemic and has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV and AIDS ever since. These funds, donated from the M.A.C AIDS Fund, will support the charity's FASTEST clinics throughout the country which provide 1 hour testing services.
