Barbados-born celebrity models Lene Hall, Tricia Nassar and Tenielle Stoute will be present along with a special guest-model appearance by Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam. The highlight of the evening will be the chance for one lucky person to win an ultra luxurious seven-night vacation to Barbados valued at $35,000.

The mission of the Barbados HIV/AIDS Commission is to advise the government and to build strategic partnerships to effectively manage, control and reduce the spread of HIV in Barbados. "There is a moral obligation for all of us to declare and to treat the HIV/AIDS pandemic," said the Honorable Owen Arthur, Prime Minister of Barbados.

"The Passions of Barbados Ball will be an unforgettable evening bringing together the worlds of business, philanthropy and entertainment to show their collective commitment to ending the human suffering caused by this global epidemic," noted Bill Silvermintz, Vice President of Marketing - North America for the Barbados Tourism Authority.

Everyone involved in the evening has forgone appearance and performance fees in order to ensure the success of this worthy event. Major corporate sponsors of the evening include BWIA, Crane Hotel, Elegant Hotels, Ronald Reagan Building and BBJ Linens with other sponsors signing on daily.
