Female Health Company Announces Agreement: Total Access Group Gets Regional Exclusivity for Public Sector Sales

PRNewswire - December 18, 2001

CHICAGO, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Female Health Company (OTC Bulletin Board: FHCO) and Total Access Group (TAG) announced the appointment of Total Access Group as an exclusive distributor for "Public Sector" sales in 15 states in the western U.S. The objective is to increase access of FC to women most in need in areas where FHC has limited reach.

TAG is a privately held national distributor to the U.S. public Sector and currently serves over 2,500 customers, including state and local health departments, community based organizations, HIV/ STD Prevention organizations, Planned Parenthood Clinics, and family planning organizations.

TAG is dedicated to enabling Safer-Sex and Family planning Organizations to distribute the highest quality prevention and education materials. As a one stop source to the public sector for major brands of condoms, lubricants, and safer sex educational materials, TAG is a full service distributor providing marketing, education, and customer service support.

"TAG's existing network is an ideal vehicle to communicate about, build awareness of and increase the use of the FC Female Condom in the US", said Mary Ann Leeper, FHC's President. "Today's announcement is part of FHC's on- going strategy to partner with organizations to assist in bringing the female condom to women in their communities", she continued.

FHC will continue to maintain public sector sales for the remaining states and will also provide training and educational out-reach programming which it has successfully developed since the FC Female Condom was first introduced in the US.

The Female Condom is the only product controlled by women that helps to prevent STDs, including HIV/AIDS and unintended pregnancy. It is made of polyurethane, which is strong and unlikely to rip or tear during use and unlikely to cause allergic reactions. It is manufactured in a state of the art facility in London, England.

The Female Health Company, based in Chicago, owns certain worldwide rights to The Female Condom(TM), including patents that have been issued in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, The People's Republic of China, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea and Australia.
