Sean Reneau, operations manager of ExecuStay in Seattle, said, "Providing housing solutions is our business. Through 'Sharing With Our Communities,' ExecuStay is now also making it our business to provide housing solutions for those who turn to The Chicken Soup Brigade for assistance."
Reneau added that the Seattle donation to The Chicken Soup Brigade is part of ExecuStay's annual "Sharing With Our Communities" program, which this year is donating approximately $150,000 in "gently used" home furnishings from its warehouses to shelters and organizations around the country that provide emergency and transitional housing and/or recovery services for individuals and families. In addition to Seattle, similar donations will occur today in Atlanta; Charlotte; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Hartford; Houston; Los Angeles; Miami; New York; Orlando; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Sacramento; San Antonio and San Francisco. Furnishings being donated nationally include 6,300 bed and bath items (blankets, comforters, shower curtains, bathroom rugs, sets of sheets and towels), 12,000 kitchen products (sets of dishes, flatware, carving knives, glassware, napkins, pots and pans, small appliances and other related items), 400 electric/electronic devices (televisions, VCRs, telephones, answering machines, vacuum cleaners and irons), home furnishings (floral arrangements, wall pictures and decorative accessories) and clothing.
