U.S. Patent Office Allows Patent to CEL-SCI Corporation on AIDS Diagnostic Kit

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CEL-SCI Corporation (Amex:HIV) announces the allowance of a U.S. patent on the "diagnostic method and test kit for the serological detection of the AIDS virus." The test kit is based upon the measurement of antibodies against a region (HGP-30) of the core of the AIDS virus.

As part of the same research program, CEL-SCI Corporation is also developing the HGP-30 AIDS vaccine. This vaccine has been tested in over sixty (60) individuals and is expected to go into phase II studies soon.

CEL-SCI Corporation is a pioneer in the field of natural immunotherapy. It is developing Multikine(TM) for the treatment of cancers and other immunodeficiency diseases. In addition, it is developing the HGP-30 HIV vaccine/treatment and a tuberculosis vaccine/treatment.
