The AIDS Walk Detroit 2009 is Sunday, September 20, and raises money to fund grants made to local metro Detroit HIV/AIDS agencies. The walk begins at the Royal Oak Farmer's Market, 316 East Eleven Mile Road, Royal Oak. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.; the NAMES Project AIDS Memory Quilt opening at 9:30, local awards at 10:00; the Walk is from 10:30 to 1:00.
