With access to New York Medicaid, the largest Medicaid reimbursed market in the country, Millennium is beginning to realize the potential of its patented product Resurgex(R). Unit sales in the third quarter of 2003 amounted to 4,747 units compared to 1,747 units in the second quarter of 2003, a 172% increase. The increase in unit sales is a direct result of Resurgex's New York Medicaid approval on June 1, 2003. Resurgex(R) is being well received by the top nutritional experts in New York and many have begun to include Resurgex(R) in their patients' care regiment.
In November 2002, Millennium received IRB approval for a clinical study on the Effects of Resurgex(R) on Metabolic, Virological, and Immunological Parameters in HIV/AIDS Patients. The objective was to demonstrate that Resurgex(R) is safe and effective when used as a nutritional supplement in the clinical management of patients with HIV-1 infection, as demonstrated by improvements in Quality-of-Life parameters, as measured by the HIV Questionnaire.
