The Company is also pleased to announce that the company's lead product the VScan(TM) HIV Rapid Test Kit has been tested by the Health Ministry in Latvia and the registration has been approved making the VScan(TM) HIV Rapid Test Kit available for immediate sale. The registration process is being initiated in the remaining two Baltics States and in the additional markets granted to Minerva Baltika. Once completed the company will have access to a market of approximately 400 million people.

The agreement with Minerva Baltika initially covered only the Baltics (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) but has now been expanded to include the additional markets of: Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. The initial term of this agreement is five years, with an option for another 5 years.

As part of this agreement, Minerva Baltika is also moving forward to build an assembly facility, which will have an initial capacity of 3 million test kits per year. Medical Services International Inc. will be providing the necessary technical expertise to bring this facility into production. It is estimated that the assembly plant will be in production by the end of January 2003. Until then Medical Services International Inc. will supply the Test Kits as required. With the completion of registration and access to a market of 400 million people, it can be expected that Minerva Baltika will easily reach its minimum requirements to maintain its distribution agreement.
