(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 1999--HIV infections among women are on the rise, accounting for 28-percent of all new cases. Yet, even with this increase in HIV infections among women, they still represent only 9 to 15-percent of participants in HIV/AIDS clinical trials. Now, a new investigational study is underway at 20 institutions nationwide to examine the difference between men's and women's response to anti-HIV therapy.
