Business Wire - Thursday April 8, 1999
On March 8, 1999, the AIDS Research Alliance and Steroidogenesis Inhibitors (STGI) of the United States announced the start of the FDA approved Clinical Trials for Anticort(TM), a drug developed by STGI.
Anticort(TM), an anticortisol, immunomodulator drug, will be evaluated in HIV positive patients under anti-therapy, to determine its potential effect on various immune systems. In its initial phase, Anticort(TM) will be administered under different regimens, intended to ascertain its safety and eventual first indications of its clinical effectiveness.
An interview of STGI's President, Dr. Alfred T. Sapse and Executive Vice President, Dr. Janet Greeson will be aired by CNBC on April 10, 1999 at 2:00PM EST. The show will present, for the first time the essence of the Cortisol/Anticortisol Concepts developed by Dr. Sapse in 1984. This concept was presented previously only to medical researchers at the World Congresses and Symposiums in Berlin, Amsterdam, Tokyo and more recently in Paris, Vancouver and Las Vegas.
Dr. Sapse will be interviewed by Michael Jackson on STGI's anticortisol drug Anticort(TM), a new classification of drug intended to enhance the effectiveness of presently used medications treating AIDS, heart attacks, ulcers, hypertension, diabetes and psoriasis as well as its own potential effectiveness in alleviating or reducing symptoms due to cortisol in disorders such as cancers, multiple sclerosis (MS), Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), aging and Alzheimer's, diseases where there is no effective treatment at the present time.
Altachem Pharma has purchased a license from STGI to manufacture, use, distribute, and sell Anticort(TM) in Canada, with an option to acquire the same license for the Commonwealth Countries.
