Glyde USA Inc. believes it is the first and only U.S. Distributor to receive FDA clearance to market a latex dam specifically designed to be used while performing cunnilingus. The availability of Sheer Glyde Dams is great news for responsible adults who have grown frustrated with using small, thick dental dams, cumbersome plastic wraps and modified condoms or latex gloves, which may or may not prevent the transmission of STDs.
Because of the thinness of Sheer Glyde Dams, they should allow for greater sensitivity during cunnilingus than standard (and thicker) dental dams.
When properly used, Sheer Glyde Dams may help reduce the risk of catching or spreading many STDs such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia infections, genital herpes and AIDS. However, they cannot eliminate the risk.
