Home Access Expands National OTC Availability for HIV-1 Home Test Option
Home Access Health Corporation announced a retail distribution agreement with American Stores Company (NYSE:ASE), one of the nation's largest food and drug retailers.
The Home Access(TM) and Home Access Express(TM) HIV-1 test kits are being carried by Osco and Sav-on drug stores throughout the country. Cleared by the FDA in July, HIV home access testing is the new, anonymous alternative that allows a person to get tested for HIV within the privacy of their own home.
"The pharmacy is rapidly becoming the focal point in accessing a more convenient alternative to fixed site testing for HIV. Home Access testing combined with the availability of new combination drug therapies are making pharmacies a critical resource in both diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS," said Richard A. Home Access(TM) (results in about a week) and Home Access Express(TM) (results in three business days) are available at 848 Osco and Sav-on retail outlets in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
