JOHANNESBURG, Dec 23 (AFP) - A group of three women welcomed a South African boy "to the world of AIDS" after forcing him to have sex with them at gunpoint in grassland outside of Johannesburg, police said Tuesday.
Andy Pieke, a police spokesman for eastern Johannesburg, said the 18-year-old boy was walking through open piece of grassland between the townships of Tsakane and Duduza early on Saturday morning when he was beckoned by three women, who were in their 30s.
The boy went to the women and was told he must have sex with them.
When he refused, one of the women pointed a pistol at him and ordered him to take off his trousers.
"He was then ordered to have sex with all three women," Pieke said in comments quoted by the SAPA news agency.
"The youth claims that after this the women said 'welcome to the world of AIDS'."
The boy reported the crime to the police, but was laughed at by the officers on duty.
He and his mother then reported the matter to the Tsakane police station commander on Tuesday morning.
